Peran Financial Management Dalam Upaya Membentuk Financial Sustainability pada Generasi Z dan Milenial

Currently, Indonesia has challenge the demographic bonus. Based on data, non-current loans are currently dominated by the individual category with an age range of 19-34 years. This is suspected to be due to the rapid development of financial technology which is not accompanied by an adequate understanding of financial management. This research attempts to find a more complex picture related to this phenomenon by using a sample of the generations that currently dominate demographics in Indonesia, namely the Millennial and Z generations. It is hoped that the results of this research can be used as a reference for policy makers and parties implementing financial literacy so that can provide a comprehensive understanding to the public in order to prevent financial problems in the future. This research using online questionnaire distributed by google form and the data were test using SMART-PLS. Purposive sampling is used to be sample collection method. The samples in this study were people who had used credit or paylater. Result shows that financial management didn’t moderating between materialism and time affluence to compulsive buying, compulsive buying positively related to loan dependence and also loan dependence positively related to financial trouble in Millenial and Z generations.
